![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The Monumental Tensile Sculpture, "Where Flying Fishes Play," at a new medical components manu- facturing facility in Phoenix, is the result of a well thought out desire to provide a multi-use outdoor space for staff meetings and company gatherings. Designed to be open to the skies and views, as well as inviting local breezes, the composition is both strong and delicate, typical of the G.H. BRUCE philosophy. Through out the detailed design process (four iter- ations) the notion was always to create an environ- ment that took advantage of the marvelous weather in Arizona. On a daily basis company personnel can be seen taking breaks or eating lunch in the shade of the protective canopies, while games of Horseshoes occur along side. A Training building is planned to adjoin the amphitheater, which will further increase the structure's occupancy and popularity. |
