CONCEPTUAL

Each Sculpture in this category is available to be commissioned.
Some were inspired without benefit of a location, others had a particular
location in mind. Each configuration offers unique shadow patterns
and movement. All solicit interaction with people.

For example, "TRI SAIL" was designed as a possible "Percent for Art" piece
for a Scottsdale, Arizona contracting firm. It was intended to grow out of
a bold, concrete, wall element at the entrance to the property.

"WINGED GUARDIAN" was created as a transition piece foran Arizona
university sports facility.Conceived with a stainless steel structure and
black mesh fabric, this portal offers a unique "scale" experience.


In contrast, "AMPHI #1" creates a performance space in an open air Plaza.

The inspiration for "ARIZONA PINWHEEL" came from the fabric.
With a different color on each side, warped planes create a lively visual
and interactive experience.

"CLOUD COMPOSITION #3" is a covered passageway and a destination.
Perforated by openings that give view to the sky, it is a place to relax,
have lunch, or feed the birds.

"PARAWING TOWER" was designed for the top of a small peak in a
park in Sedona, Arizona. Built into the mountain top, with a spectacular
360 degree view, it was intended that this piece "collaborate" with the site
to provide an unusual environmental experience.
